| this painting was given to my dad for his
birthday. it was not done with the intention of giving it to him as a present. it was a thought in my mind but i hoped to have something better painted by his birthday. i did not. i rarely give paintings away, in my youth i never thought they were good enough and could not understand why anyone would want one- i don't know my reasons anymore. blind tradition maybe? my dad always asks for paintings for presents, normally i would not think it so genuine but in his house he has about 30 of my paintings from high school hanging on display. every time I do a painting for him, or give him one he pretty much complains - so who knows :)
